Fear Not

A musical offering & Gospel promise:

I invite you to be still as you listen and use this as a guide to embrace the story being told.

Track 1. The album starts as we recognize we live in a distracted world and often feel far from God. This world is nothing like heaven.

Track 2. We cry out for Emmanuel, “God with us,” and long for Him to come be near.

Track 3. His response: “fear not, for I have redeemed you, you are mine” (Isaiah 43:1). He promises to carry us and wipe away our shame.

Track 4. More, He tells us to breathe. To stop our striving and start following the One who is paving the way for us. To simply say thank you.

Track 5. We keep living in response. Psalm 77:1 says “I cry aloud to God, and he will hear me.” Will we remember His faithfulness? Will our memory be an altar to His grace?

Track 6. Psalm 116 testifies that God has heard our cry and we believe! He has shown great mercy, and we
love Him.

Track 7. Lest we forget the Christian journey is not easy, we still lament. Especially because the workers are few who will proclaim that God’s burden is light. Will we pour out our life, our love for Him?

Track 8. Finally, we wait and long for the day Jesus returns and sets all things right.

This is the Christian journey: a path of brokenness, lament, gratitude, and hope. The paradox is we can identify with each of these songs all in the same moment. We’re sinful and redeemed. We’re waiting expectantly for the future and thankful for the gifts we have now. We’re forgetful and we remember. But in the midst of it all, we are called to “fear not.” God is in control, and you are His beloved child. Rest in the promise of His goodness.
