Finding Fullness (in Food)

I believe the food we put in our bodies and the intentionality we pour into our homes matters.

A good meal in a beautiful space invites us to slow down and be present. Suddenly we notice the flavors, the smells, and the people around us. We want to savor laughter across the dinner table, and stories that pair more naturally with a home cooked meal than a happy meal.

Unfortunately, I don’t often slow down enough to enjoy the taste of food, let alone enjoy the process of cooking it. Most days I want food to be as fast and convenient as possible. So, I started cultivating a space where I can document the wins, like finding a new recipe I want to remember. This is my attempt to find and share inspiration as I slow down and creatively express the healthy habits I’m practicing.

In the process, I am finding more fullness in both my heart and my body.

Celebrating Seasons

My favorite part of living in the Midwest is experiencing all four seasons. I look forward to the change in colors, temperature, and tastes. The excitement lasts for about a week until I run out of inspiration for which meals to prepare and spend less time in my kitchen and my home.

Below is a collection of ideas I’ve gathered to help me live intentionally and celebrate the current season.
